Rin Tohsaka
Hi, you've reached Rin Tohsaka. Sorry I missed your call; my phone and I are currently playing hide and seek, and I'm sad to say it's winning!
Please leave your name, number, and a brief message, and I promise to call you back. Thank you.

Only she isn't going to say anything because the surprise is important.
In any case she sends along the address, as well as the floor number. The building itself is a few steps above the place she used to call home, that's for sure. Definitely above arcade clerk income.]
yeah, that's fine
ill see you then
if you have any trouble finding it just let me know
i can wait outside the building for you

It's funny how a few years ago, before she started off on her own, Rin would have taken for granted how difficult it is to tie down an apartment like this in a big city; not just for the price tag it might come with, but availability. She knows much better these days.]
This story she's promised is going to be a doozy...
[Excited butterflies in her stomach, Rin makes to go up then! And if there's no buzzer to be let up necessary, she'll go straight to Aki's door to ring the bell.]

When Aki answers the door, she's toeing the line between casual and dressed up for the sake of Rin's visit; a nice black sweater just long enough to almost hide the shorts she's wearing under it, as well as a pair of slippers. She gives Rin a nod in greeting-] Hey. Glad you could make it. [-and steps aside to let her in.]
[The entrance leads right into quite a big room, with the living area directly ahead - a nice big couch and a single chair centered around a coffee table all pointed towards a sizable tv - and at the very back of the apartment a pair of double doors, that seem to lead out to a balcony...though it's really small. The type you could fit about two people onto just to look out over the streets below.
Directly to the left from the entrance is the kitchen area, with only a single counter to separate the "living room" area from it. The appliances are all fine, but clearly less money was spent on the kitchen than everything else, barring the large fridge.
Probably most impressive is the fact that there're no less than five rooms attached to the main area. Given one is easily guessed as the bathroom, that's a lot of space.
It's a huge step up from her old apartment, considering that wasn't even a quarter of the size of this place and her bed, tv and kitchen were all in one room, with only one door to separate a bathroom from everything else.
Also noteworthy is the fact that while Aki was a lazy shit in her old apartment and it wasn't ever as tidy as it could've been, including the occasional unwashed pile of dishes in the sink or takeout boxes that hadn't been thrown out...this place has none of that and looks really clean. So it's not just her home that's changed, apparently.
Aki gestures to Rin to move over towards the couch, though approaches the kitchen herself.]
What can I get you? Tea? Coffee?
[It's too early for booze...........]

Coffee, please. I could use the caffeine pick-me-up.
[Messy rooms were something they always had in common, so you can bet Rin picks up on that idly as she takes in the sheer size of the apartment, eyes wide. What a beautiful apartment.]
How long ago did you say you moved here again? It looks so nice, and brand new!
[She's not sure where she should set her bag for that reason, actually. It feels like setting it down would throw the tidiness off-balance... The kitchen counter is probably fine she decides after a moment, if it's set neatly to the side. Aki's probably going in there anyways for the coffee, so Rin just follows after her.]

[She crouches down to get the coffee machine out of a cupboard, setting it on the countertop. She throws in the coffee, fills the pot with water and turns it on. Now they wait.]

[Not her sister Sakura Tohsaka, Rin assumes. Putting aside she complained to Aki about her younger sister often enough growing up she doubts they'd want to live together, it's a common name. This might be an American city, but it has a surprisingly high Japanese population, so no doubt Aki is referring to someone else. Rin just looks at her expectantly, waiting for her to elaborate.]

[A beat.]
I mean, not that sister of yours you told me about. It's not like I'm doggedly trying to marry into your family by any means necessary. Completely different Sakura. Fujiwara.
[She takes out two cups and once the machine is finished, starts pouring out two cups of coffee.]
She's one of those instagram cosplay models...sakurasaku? I don't know if you follow that kind of thing.
